Your tour kicks off at the U.S. Navy Memorial and your first stop is the U.S. Capitol Building. You will pass the National Archives, the Newseum, and the National Gallery of Art on your way. As the U.S. Capitol comes into view, you will be treated to a breathtaking two-mile-long, panoramic view of the Smithsonian Museums and the Washington Monument.
As you make your way to the White House, you will drive by the U.S. Botanic Garden, Grant's Memorial, the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice, and the J. Edgar Hoover Federal Bureau of Investigation. At the White House, you'll view the Executive Residence and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
The next stops are the moving National World War I, World War II, and Korean War Memorials. Just across the Tidal Basin, you will view the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial before beginning the brief walking portion of the tour that takes you to the imposing Lincoln Memorial and then the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.
