The kayak bat tour was great. The best part was our guide, Sam. We paddled on and off for over 2 hours. I am 72 and it was not difficult for me. Sam gave us Austin history and architecture perspectives through the entire trip. The bats were not very active the evening we were there, but we did get to see some bats.

The fun will begin when you climb into your kayak for a paddling lesson. You can go solo or team up with someone special in a double kayak. Your guide will then lead you onto the water and up to Congress Avenue Bridge, or as it’s more commonly known Bat Bridge. You will enjoy stunning views of the Downtown skyline from the water. The sunset brings the totally awesome sight of some 1.5 million Mexican Free-Tailed Bats as they emerge from the bridge and take to the air. As you watch these amazing critters, your guide will share fun and fascinating facts about them.
This is a unique experience and an especially memorable tour for nature lovers.
