Have you ever dreamed of sitting in the pilot's seat of an airplane and soaring over the landscape below? This Learn to Fly experience in New York is the experience for you!
After your safety debriefing, you'll climb into the pilot's seat of a Piper PA-28-181 Archer II and prepare for take-off. Your knowledgeable, experienced instructor will take you through the pre-flight inspection and prepare the plane for take-off.
Next it's time to take off and enjoy the wonderful sensation of flight. With a certified flight instructor by your side in a meticulously prepared Piper Archer, you will learn the art of flight over the breathtaking landscape unique to New York.
After an exhilarating flight, you will land safely back on earth. This is wonderful and unique experience that is sure to be remembered for a lifetime!
When Do I Choose A Date?
Either yourself or the lucky recipient can make a booking and select dates once you are in receipt of the voucher. You’ll register the voucher, follow the booking instructions and your experience with us begins!Year-Round:
Daily - 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

- Individual participants must not exceed the weight limit of 300 lbs or height limit of 6'8
- Participants must be at least 12 years old
- Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- Landing fee is included in the package price
- All participants are required to bring a valid, government issued photo ID for their flight

What To Wear
Is there a height or weight restriction?
Yes, individual participants must not exceed the weight limit of 300 lbs or height limit of 6'8.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, participants must be at least 12 yrs old. Any participant under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Returns
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be returned hassle-free within 14 days. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser.
Exchanges
Experience Vouchers that have not been redeemed can be exchanged for anything else in our marketplace at any time. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs more, you'll simply have to pay the difference. If you choose to exchange for an experience that costs less, you'll have a credit towards your next booking with Virgin Experience Gifts.
Once you have scheduled a date and received a booking confirmation, rescheduling is allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience, failure to appear on your booked date or to reschedule at least 72 hours prior to your booked date will result in the loss of the value of your experience. In the event your experience is cancelled due to inclement weather you will reschedule your experience directly with your experience provider.
