Tour guide (Jules) has an upbeat, enthusiastic and infectious personality! We thoroughly enjoyed her stories along the way and we were impressed with her knowledge of and love for the city of Baltimore. As well, she has the ability to tailor her tour to the specific interests of those in attendance. There were only 4 of us on this tour, and both couples were local. She supported lots of storytelling and sharing of information. We had a delightful experience and learned a lot about the city! Great people and fantastic weather made for a super Cloud 9 Living experience! Thank you! -

This Federal Hill Food Tour will take you through a neighborhood of narrow rowhouses, cobbled streets and fantastic local cuisine exemplifying its charm!
Federal Hill is south Baltimore's most historic neighborhood first discovered in early 1608 by English colonial settler Captain John Smith. The city was found on his first exploration of the Chesapeake Bay establishing a history spanning four centuries.
Federal Hill is also known for its well-developed food scene offering local eateries, famous dishes from Cross Street Market, indigenous foods, family recipes and progressive, high end cuisine.

The food tour may include Chesapeake oysters, locally brewed Beers, fourth generation Italian recipes, locally sourced dishes at a family run B&B, local specialties at Cross Street Market and Baltimore's best pie. Foods served on the tour are subject to change.

Are children allowed on the tour?
Children are allowed on this tour. Please note, the tour lasts approximately 3.5 hours with standing and walking.
If I am bringing an infant/very young child, do I need to purchase a ticket for them?

Is this tour wheelchair accessible?
This tour will cover some uneven terrain and may be difficult on a wheelchair. Please notify Virgin Experience Gifts at the time of booking if anyone if your party will need wheelchair access throughout the tour.
Do we just walk around and sample food?
This food tour provides history, architecture, culture and local cuisine. You will enjoy food at a number of restaurants throughout each Food Tour in the form of either specially plated dishes, or family style meals, depending on the type of food at each restaurant.
Are restrooms available during the tour?
Yes, restrooms are available during the tour at all restaurants. The tour will stop at each restaurant for 20-25 minutes including time to use the restrooms.
How much walking is involved? Is it a fast-paced tour?
You will be on your feet for approximately half of the tour walking at a comfortable pace. Seating will be available at most restaurants for approximately 20-25 minutes. Remember to wear comfortable shoes.
What happens if it rains or snows?

Does the tour guide accept gratuities?
