Your 90-minute tour will begin when you meet up with your award-winning guide, Diane Ladley. Known as “America’s Ghost Storyteller”, Ladley is an expert on Naperville’s haunted history.
Start by exploring Quigley’s Irish Pub, a popular tavern that is said to house several spirits. Equipped with an EMF detector, your guide will search for evidence of paranormal activity. You may feel a sudden burst of cold air as you pass by the gothic bell tower of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Legend has it that a ghostly priest still haunts the sinners who dare to venture into the church’s basement.
Listen to even more spooky stories as you pass by a haunted train station, Pfeiffer Hall, and the pond at North Central College. You’ll feel goosebumps cover your body as your guide shares her personal encounter with the city’s “weeping bride”. Keep your eyes open and watch the EMF detector because you never know when a ghost may decide to appear!

What can I expect on this tour?

Is this tour appropriate for children?
This tour contains graphic content such as murder, death, and other frightening stories. It is not recommended for children.
Will I see a ghost?
While we cannot guarantee you'll experience the paranormal, we recommend bringing a camera or video camera. You just never know when a spirit may decide to make an appearance!
What is an EMF detector?
EMF meters measure AC electromagnetic fields. It is theorized that spirits often cause a spike in electrical currents which can be detected by the EMF meter.
Will we go inside any of the haunted buildings?
Tours typically focus on building exteriors and outdoor spaces. Occasionally business owners welcome groups inside, but this can't be guaranteed. Businesses and public places are open for you to visit during regular business hours.
