This open ocean, guided kayak tour is an unbeatable way to explore part of the beautiful Californian coastline.
Your adventure will begin with a safety briefing on the sands on the beach at Fisherman’s Cove. From there, you will launch your kayak into a protected and calm channel before your guide leads you out onto the waters of the cove and beyond. As you and your guide hug the dramatic balboa rock-lined coastline, you will see beachfront mansions, secluded beaches, and contoured cliffs. Reefs and kelp beds are visible through the clear waters of the Blue Belt Wildlife Sanctuary. You will learn about the area’s ecology and the fascinating wildlife that calls these waters and the coastline home. Watch out for harbor seals, sea lions, playful dolphins, and brightly colored and exotic fish including California’s state fish, the Garibaldi. At the right time of year, you may even be lucky enough to spot a humpback or gray whale. Once back on land, extend your adventure in Laguna Beach with a meal, further activity, or other entertainment. The experience provider will be delighted to offer advice and provide information.
