As summer fades to fall, experience the quintessential Alaskan landscape with this one-of-a-kind tour.
In a side-by-side UTV (utility task vehicle) with dogs pulling you down the trail, you’ll mush through the local trails. This is part of the dogs’ fall training to condition them for the upcoming winter mushing season.
With temperatures dipping and the stillness of the night arriving, the magic of Northern Lights begins again. In early September, the trails are bright with fall colors. You'll be amazed as you pass by endless hues of gold, orange, and red. Keep an eye out for different species of wildlife, from moose to spruce grouse and migrating cranes.
Wondering if you see the Aurora? If the sky is clear and the Auroras are out, they will be visible from the yurt as well as certain vantage points on the trail! If you're lucky enough to catch it, you'll feel a wave of excitement and awe as you watch waves of green light dance across the sky. Even if you don't see the Aurora, you’ll walk away with memories that you’ll treasure forever.
